Preface

Yanai City Tourism Association (hereby “the Association”) pays the utmost regards to its users’ privacy and cares to protect any information obtained through this website. In case the Association requests users to provide personal data, such request will be limited to the scope of minimum necessity and the User’s decision regarding provision of the data will be treated with utmost respect.
“Personal data” hereby refers to data provided by the users while using this website such as their address, name, phone number, e-mail address, and other data that will enable user identification.

[Purpose of obtaining personal data]

The data obtained by the Association, including the access logs recorded on the server, may be used for statistical purposes only and there will not be any focus on a specific ID. The data will be used essentially for the following purposes only, with the utmost regards to the users’ rights.
- To contact users by phone call, e-mail, etc. in response to their inquiries.
- To send forms and brochures to users by post at the request of the users themselves.

The Association strives to control website security, and to take appropriate measures physically and electronically to prevent unauthorized access to, or leakage of, the obtained personal data. The links on the website are provided solely for the purpose of enhancing the convenience of the users. It is not the responsibility of the Association to ensure the privacy policy and the accessibility of third-party websites.

[Disclosure of personal data to third parties]

In principle, the Association does not intend to disclose any personal data obtained from the users to any third party, with the exception of the following cases.
- When the Association has the agreement of the user concerned
- When the Association is commissioned by the user to perform some kind of transaction or service at their own request
- When personal data is needed to transfer information which the Association possesses to the user.
- When disclosure is needed to comply with any legal requirements.
- When there is a need of disclosure in terms of public interest, public health and protection of human life and property, and it is evidently difficult to gain agreement of the relevant user.

[Disclosure, alteration, addition, cessation and deletion of personal data]

The Association recognizes the rights of users to request disclosure, alteration, cessation of use, deletion and other handling of their own personal data. It is only when the person from whom such request is received is identified as being the owner of the data themselves that the Association will take the requested action of disclosure, alteration, addition, cessation of use and deletion of the relevant data within a legitimate time period.
